Dispatch is a superhero workplace comedy and narrative adventure developed by AdHoc Studio, which released on PlayStation 5 and PC in late 2025 before launching on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on January 28, 2026. Set in an alternate version of Los Angeles, the game casts players as Robert Robertson III—formerly the high-flying hero Mecha Man—who is forced into a desk job as a dispatcher after his signature mech suit is destroyed. From the operations center of the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN), players must manage the "Z-Team," a dysfunctional group of former supervillains attempting to reform through the city's Phoenix Program.

The gameplay blends episodic storytelling with management simulation. Players navigate complex dialogue trees and office politics while strategically deploying heroes to various emergencies across a city map. Each mission requires selecting the right hero based on their specific stats and temperaments, followed by tactical skill checks that determine the outcome. Between shifts, Robert must manage the quirks and personal baggage of his team, navigate potential workplace romances with characters like Invisigal or Blonde Blazer, and gradually gather resources to rebuild his own suit for a shot at revenge against his nemesis, Shroud.

In early 2026, the game has become a breakout critical success, winning "Outstanding Story-Rich Game" at the Steam Awards. The February 2026 launch on Nintendo platforms has been a major talking point due to technical enhancements for the Switch 2, which runs the game at 1440p and 60fps. However, the port has also faced controversy regarding permanent content censorship on the Nintendo version, which utilizes un-toggleable black bars and audio bleeps for the game's mature humor and scenes. AdHoc Studio is currently working on updates to address these platform-specific differences while maintaining the game's celebrated narrative depth and "choose-your-own-adventure" structure.
